Pro-Tone Pitch Pipe was conceived by the tour manager of a Grammy Award winning artist! The concept is simple: when you are ready to sing (for practice or performance) press the note on your voice part and wah-lah! You can also practice hitting certain notes by memory and then checking them against the tones on the app.

So what do you have to lose (other than your starting pitch/note in the song)!!! Get this app today :)

This works. Tones are in the singer’s register.
When I first loaded the app onto my phone, it did not produce any sound. I contacted the developer, who provided prompt instructions which resolved the problem (apps on my phone hogging memory). This app is simple and does what it says. It generates s a tone which can be used as a pitch pipe for singers to hear the first note of a song. It provides chromatic tones in the singer’s choice of register: bass and tenor and female alto and soprano. It is worth paying for the app because this means it comes without advertising. I prefer this to another free app I tried which had advertising, in my case a banner for an on-line war game — not exactly the right content to come into view when one is finding a note for a spiritual song to be sung in church.
Wonderful!
This is a very professional app! Highly recommended!
Bad ap
The thing that attracted me most to this ap was its simplicity. I didnt want an ap that recorded my voice and analyzed it. I simply wanted to be able to occasionally check pitch or perhaps see what note I was singing. This app falls short in lots of ways. First, it creates the nonsensical and arbitrary voice parts of bass, tenor, alto, and soprano and assigns certain notes/ranges to those categories. The only thing this accomplishes is that, if say, Im a baritone singing a tenor or alto note (both completely in a healthy range) I have to keep going back and forth between the different categories to check the pitches it assigns to thisd ranges. Absurd. The second thing I have issue with us the tone itself. Its this jarringly, harsh tone. This may just be a personal preference, but Id just assume my ap not honk at me. Again, save your money and look elsewhere. This may have been created by someone with great talent in the music industry, but they were clearly not a singer or musician, and thus, they dont have any sense of how impractical this ap is.
Does not function
The system does not work. No sound comes out and all my sound settings are working.
Nice with a few quirks
The user interface is simple; the UI needs a little more debugging since sounds keep playing when they shouldnt and sounds wont play when the should. That happens when I tried to play chords. So something inside that logic must get confused. It would be nice if alternative sounds were available, like a piano. Using strings for the higher notes sounded wierd to me.
